Ms. Diane Elliott
Worked for International Harvester Company, worked in office, company made war materials, live 22MM cannons. Wrote to husband every day. We had little gasoline, no tires. Had coupons for all rationed items like shoes, sugar, butter and meat. The whole country made sacrifices for our men at war. Learned to sew and remake old clothes into new clothes. Always worried and lived the fear that my husband would be killed or injured.
