University of Illinois ROTC 1938-1942. 2nd Lieutenant, active duty June 1942 to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Transferred to Military Intelligence Training Center September 1942. Overseas service in Europe, February 1943 to March 1947. Reassigned to G-2 Washington, D.C. Discharged from active duty as Major in November 1949.
