Activity During WWII

Private First Class. Enlisted in 1944 and went to boot camp in Tyler, Texas. Shipped out of New York in 1945 to France and joined Patton's 5th Army, 3rd Battalion, 106th Division, 422nd Regiment, Company D and the 4th infantry's heavy weapons platoon. Marched from France through Belgium to Berlin. Then sent to Puerto Rico to begin jungle warfare training in preparation of the invasion of Japan. Finished his tour of duty guarding the Panama Canal. He was the number one Bazooka Man. Returned home in 1946.
