Activity During WWII

Inducted into the Air Corps 8/22/44. Basic training, Sheppard Field, Texas. Transferred to McCook, Nebraska (B-29 aircraft) and Keesler Field, Mississippi Technician School (Flight Engineer B-24). Put into the infantry for the Battle of the Bulge, 6 weeks. Advanced Infantry Regiment, Camp Howe, Texas, then to Fort Meade. Sent to Fort Ord, California and on to Luzon, Philippine Islands, where he did combat time with the 37th Infantry Division, 145th Infantry Regiment April to August 1945, when the war ended. Sent to Korea as occupation troops, February to August 1946.
