As a pilot based in Chabua, Lieutenant First Class 'Andy' Anderson flew Curtis Commandos (C-46's) over the 'Burma Hump'. Following ditching his plane (after successfully bailing out of his flight crew), he went on to fly search-and-rescue missions for the remainder of the war.
