Activity During WWII

In the U.S. Army, 116th Ordnance Company, 41st Infantry Division. The 41st was Mobilized into Federal Service on September 16, 1940. As Technical Sergeant, I served the Secretary Chief on December 7, 1941 at Fort Lewis, Washington. Served all ordnance Equipment of the 41st Infantry Division, all Divisions, and Infantry Divisions. Headed for the Pacific, then boarded the Isle de France on February 14, 1944. Then we helped supply and assemble Ordnance for General Patton's new 3rd Army. On June 26, 1944 we were off an LST ship and landed on Utah Beach where I designed and built 12 medium tank-mounted Hedge Cutters. General Patton recommended me to Le General de Gaulle, 'Pour services exceptionnel de Guerre rendered for the liberation of France. And individual presentation de le croix de guerre avec etoile de bronze.
