Activity During WWII

2nd Lieutenant by ROTC at city college of New York. Active duty started April 21, 1942 with 36th air depot group in Macon, Georgia; plans and training officer for supple squadron. September 5, 1942, sailed on Queen Mary with 18,000 on Board. Five days later in England. assigned for camouflage training. survived 'blitz', invaded Algeria commanding 65 men for 20 months in North Africa. August 20, 1944, sailed to italy. sent home in March 1945 (2 1/2 years). assigned to South Dakota air base to September 1945. stayed in reserves and went to law school at columbia university; became judge advocate. Have two medals - African invasion and italian campaign.
