Activity During WWII

Served as a Medical corpsman attached to a Marine Rifle Company in the 6th Marine Division. He saw action during the invasions of the Pacific Islands. He was killed in action on Sugar Loaf Loaf Hill on Okinawa May 14, 1945. He received the Silver Star posthumously for his action that day saving several lives before he died.
