Activity During WWII

Combat Medic attached to the 9th Infantry Division. Entered France at Normandy, went through Saint Lo, crossed the Remagen Bridge and was hit by a land mine that destroyed the jeep he was riding in. Spent 6 months in a Paris hospital and 6 months in the hospital at Augusta, Georgia. Received the Combat Medic Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Bronze Star and the Victory Medal.
