Technical Sergeant. Served as an airplane and engine mechanic with the 389th Service Squadron, 64th Service Group, 5th Air Force. Served in the South Pacific, September 1942 to June 1945. Participated in the Bismarck Archipelago Campaign as well as New Guinea, Northern Solomon, Papua, South Philippines Liberation and Luzon. Awarded the American Defense Service Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon with 6 Service Stars, Philippine Liberation with 2 Service Stars and Good Conduct Medal. Honorably discharged in San Antonio, Texas on October 8, 1945.
