Battles and campaigns including Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes Forest, Central Europe. Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze stars, Purple Heart, French Croix de Guerre August 9, 1944 (1 of 7 given to an American soldier), Combat Infantryman Badge 1944, Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) M-1 Expert Medal 1943. Wounded in France, 8/9/44. Died 3/27/98.
