Battery D, Landed on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France on June 6, 1945. battery D, 467th. During the german offensive they were attached to the 4th armored division of the third U.S. army, the battalion was among the first to reach the Rhine and set up a defense of the remagen bridge. Participated in the first army's armored forces and shared in the capture of leipzig and bulge.
