Army Anti-aircraft Artillery. Enlisted soldier December 7, 1941 to September 1942. Officer of Battery C, 456th Army anti-Aircraft Artillery, Automatic Weapons Battalion, Mobile, from September 1942 to September 1945 serving in U.S., England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. Commanded Battery C for 6 months in combat. Lightly wounded in English Channel on June 29, 1944.
