Activity During WWII

Anti-Submarine Escort Patrol, USS Uniontown PF-65, convoys were made up in the Norfolk, Virginia area and delivered to the Oran area in the Mediterranean. I was Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer on the PF-65. When war in the Atlantic ended, I was ordered to the USS Monticello, very large troop transport, where I served as Aid to the Executive Officer, until Japan surrendered.
