Entered Active Service, with restricted duties due to a bad left eye, April 3, 1942, separated December 19, 1945. Was Ward Master in England, supervising work of 5 men, administered treatment and medication to patients in ward, took temperatures, pulse readings, blood pressures, x-ray technician, surgical technician as Corporal. He continued in National Guard and retired from Tennessee National Guard with a rating of Master Sergeant E-8.
