Activity During WWII

District Engineer for the Manhattan Project. Reported directly to General Leslie R. Groves. As District Engineer, he supervised research and development, connected with design, construction and operation of all facilities required for production of weapon-grade plutonium and uranium-235. The Manhattan Project (which he named) developed and produced the atomic bomb which greatly aided the U.S. in ending WWII.
