Went to Philippines in April 1941. He belonged to and fought with the 57th Infantry, Philippine Scouts until U.S. surrendered May, 1942. Was on the infamous Bataan Death March. Imprisoned 33 months until rescued 1/30/45. After many illnesses, served total of 24 years in Army. He died 2/94.
