Enlisted on September 23, 1942 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Trained at McChord Field in Washington. On June 1, 1943 in Braintree, England. Returned to the U.S. on December 12, 1943. Served at Bedford, Massachusetts until October 1944 and Fort Dix, New Jersey. Commissioned on February 7, 1945 from Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Served in Philippines, Finschhafen, Hollandia. Discharged at Camp McCoy on June 2, 1946.
