Participated in the war industry, 1941-1942. Was an agent for the U.S. Office of Strategic Services (OSS), 1942-1943 and a tele-cryptographic analyst in the Washington D.C. office and in India. Served in the U.S. Navy, January 1945 to May 1946, at the Torpedo Station at Narragansett Bay, Newport, Rhode Island. In charge of the Tower operations and the testing of torpedoes before delivery to the fleets.
