Activity During WWII

Member of the 128th Signal Rhode Island Company, 214th Coast Artillery, Anti-aircraft. Joined the National Guard in 1940 and was sent to the west coast for a few months the day after Pearl Harbor. Sent to Europe and served in Rome-Arno, Tunisia, Southern France, North Apennines and Po Valley. Received the American Defense Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
