Activity During WWII

Served with the Army Air Corps. Joined the 102nd Observation Squadron in New York Air National Guard in August, 1940 which was federalized in October, 1940 and was assigned anti-submarine patrol on the West Coast Defense Command. In 1942 served as a Master Sergeant and then appointed to a First Sergeant of the Squadron. Subsequently transferred to the China-Burma-India Theater as a First Sergeant of the 490th Bomb Squadron.
