West Point 1942, Page 329, #12775. Missing in Action; air mission in Austria March 17, 1944, age 23 years. During a raid on Vienna his ship took hits they thought survivable. However, as they headed back somewhere in the vicinity of the junction of Italy, Yugoslavia and the Adriatic, his ship dropped out of the formation and went down. 757th Bomb Squad, 459th Bomb Group, 15th Air Force. Awarded The Distinguished Flying Cross and The Purple Heart.
