Served with the 15th Air Force as a Bombardier and Navigator on B-17G. Flew from Amendola, Italy. Lost his life on his 48th mission on January 21, 1945, when his B-17 was forced to ditch in the Adriatic Sea, after delivering Ordnance over an oil refinery near Vienna, Austria. Only 3 crew members survived.
