Served as a tank driver, Murder Incorporated, in the 1st Calvary, 603rd Tank Company. On a Pacific Isle, tank was blown up in the Battle of Corregidor, on February 25, 1943. All crew members, except him, were killed. Wounded and sent to a New Guinea Hospital for 11 months. Received two Purple Hearts.
