Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant at Randolph Field, San Antonio, Texas, 1941. Went to the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations with the 3rd Air Depot, serving as one of the four original transport test pilots, flying the 'Hump'. Took supplies to General Chennault's pilot group. Rode to Najar with the U.S. Air Force. Stationed at Tinker Air Base, Oklahoma until March 1947. Married in India, 1944.
