Trained in Camp Berkley in Abilene, Texas. Transferred to Brooklyn on January 8, 1945. Took a trip on the Queen Mary and two on the Queen Elizabeth to England. Then transferred to the USS Charles Goodyear. Went to Italy, South Africa, and Belgium. His job was saving the injured.
