Awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 1 Bronze Service Star, Purple Heart, American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal. Wounded on February 12, 1945 in Germany; bilateral leg amputee.
