Served in China-Burma-India as as an anti-tank gunner. Wounded December 9, 1944. Received the Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Service medal with bronze star WD Circular 1943, Distinguished Unit badge, Good Conduct medal, WWII Victory medal, and the American Service medal. Returned home on the USS General Harry Taylor AP-145 which sailed from Karachi, India, December 12, 1945. Discharged February 4, 1946.
