Served with Company B, 101st Military Police Battalion in European Theater of Operations; drove 2 1/2 ton truck to perform road patrol and transport supplies; drove under blackout conditions and over all types of terrain; made long distance hauls. Received American Defense Service Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Medal with World War II Victory Ribbon; also received a citation of commendation for saving an officer.
