Activity During WWII

Served on the USS Roe DD-418 in the Atlantic. Screened convoys, Pacific Task Force 76 and Task Force 94. Bismarck Archipelago, Hollandia, New Guinea, Toem Wakde, Biak, Noemfoor Island and Iwo Jima. Served on the USS Core CVE-13 after surrender of Japan. He was a Seaman 1st Class. Received the WWII Victory medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal, Asiatic-Pacific medal with 4 battle stars and the American Area medal.
