Ground Force, Mess Sergeant. Entered service July 3, 1943 at Fort Jackson Columbia, South Carolina. Basic training at Fort McClellan, Alabama. Sent on to Fort Ord, California where he was stationed for the duration. Did not serve overseas; eye trouble. Served as head of the kitchen and meals. Discharged February 5, 1946 from Fort Beale, California. Deceased May 16, 1996.
