Civilian employee, Quartermaster Corps. although suffering from severe heart problems, went to work for the Quartermaster Corps. Trained by IBM to operate the Quartermaster computers at the Kansas City, Missouri depot. Provided inventory services of supplies at various depots. Frequently called in to perform this duty at any hour during the night after a 10 hour work day. This demanding work and stress on his already faltering heart, led to his death in May 1957 of heart failure.
