Activity During WWII

Survived the attack on Pearl Harbor; returned to the U.S. and trained to be B-24 pilot. On next to last mission in the European Theater of Operations, his plane was hit by enemy anti-aircraft fire, his pilot was severely wounded. He stayed with the damaged plane until the rest of the crew safely escaped, then, he was no longer able to escape and was killed in the plane crash.
