England June 1944; landed in Normandy from an LST July 6, 1944. Assigned to the Red Ball Express, August 25, 1944 to November 16, 1944. Was at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge, December 16 to December 26, 1944. Remained in Sinzig, Remagen until May 7, 1945 and was then moved to Paris August 1945. November 1945, boarded the SS Samuel Griffin and returned to New York, December 11, 1945; spent 18 days time in the crossing. Was attached or loaned to at one time or another the 101st, 82nd Armored and various other divisions. Was a squad leader and his squad received a Unit Presidential Citation for action during the time just prior and during the Battle of the Bulge.
