Drafted April 29, 1941. Assigned to 93rd Battery, Anti Aircraft. Shipped to Mojave Desert for intensive training; then stationed on Oahu, Hawaii. Applied for and entered Pilot Training in California. Trained as a B-17 Pilot. Shipped to Ipswich, England and flew 23 missions over Germany as Co-Pilot, 390th Bomb Group.
