January 6, 1941 to March 1944. 206th Coast Artillery (Anti-Aircraft). Two years and 7 months at Dutch Harbor, Aleutian Islands. Returned stateside and transferred to the infantry. Platoon Sergeant training cadre, Camp Roberts, California. Eleven weeks Infantry, Office Candidate School (OCS), Fort Benning, Georgia. Discharged from service June 23, 1945 at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas.
