Activity During WWII

Drafted November 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio. Basic training in Camp McClain, Mississippi. Volunteered for overseas duty from Fort Jackson, South Carolina, August 1943. Assigned to the 7th Armored Infantry in France. Traveled to Holland where he was captured and taken to a German Prison Camp in October 1943. On January 31, 1944 he escaped and made his way back through Russia. April 1945 came back to the U.S.
