Communications; worked as a teletype operator in the Pentagon Building, 1943-1945. Drafted on August 22, 1942, classified to limited service because of a broken leg. Took basic training in 1945 in Louisiana, also in the Cadre in Fort Jackson, South Carolina as a clerk. Spent 3 1/2 years in the Army.
