Activity During WWII

B-17 Pilot, 612th Bomb Squadron, 401st Bomb Group. On his 25th mission over Kiel, Germany the plane was hit directly in the fuselage with 88mm flak. The tail gunner was the only survivor. He is buried in Liege, Belgium, Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial. Received 3 Air Medals, 2 oak leaf clusters and many certificates.
