Activity During WWII

Earned many merits in the service with the 4th Signal Battalion, in Europe during the war. He was an Army radio operator, truck driver and automotive mechanic. Trained as a radio operator. His occupation changed to truck driver. Most of his service was in Germany. He was in the worst fighting in the war. He was kept in Germany to help with the work there after the war. He received an individual citation from Major Paul A. Dexter, for outstanding duty and untiring effort in maintenance of radio communications. Contributed to operations against Germany, February 23, 1945 to May 15, 1945.
