Activity During WWII

Served on the USS Fulton AS-11, the USS Ommaney Bay CVE-79 and the USS West Virginia BB-48. While on Ommaney Bay it was hit by a kamikaze plane. Rescued by the USS Iowa BB-61 and returned to service aboard the USS West Virginia BB-48 to Treasure Island, California. Discharged November 2, 1945 from U.S. Navy Personnel Separation Center Norman, Oklahoma.
