He died on July 27, 1954 from injuries received at German POW Camp. He was a Pilot on a B-17, shot down over Germany on his 7th mission September 28, 1944 and taken as a POW for 9 months. Received the Purple Heart, Air Medal, Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign, the Bronze Star and the POW medal.
