Went through advance Infantry Training. Shipped to Naples, Italy and went to the replacement depot. In the War zone at the time the Germans surrendered. Received 1 Battle Star and a Mediterranean Ribbon. Joined the Radio Repair and Mind Detection Repair. On a Forty-Five pass when they dropped the Atomic Bomb and the Japanese gave up. Received Superior in Teletype Mechanics and when they were about to ship him to Louisiana, he had 38 points and became eligible for discharge.
