Joined the 71st Specialist Signal Company in Italy in 1943. The 71st Specialist Signal became the 71st Joint Assault Signal Company, first ever. Went to the Pacific, Philippines, and Okinawa. Went in Japan with the 11th Airborne. Was in the 3rd plane to land. Came home in 1946 with over 120 points.
