L Company, 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry, U.S. Armed Forces in the Philippines. Volunteered and joined Guerilla on 10/21/44. Fought and pursued Japanese Forces in the fields and mountains, Ilocos Norte, Abra, Ilocos Sur and while in Sabangan, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, he was hit on the right leg behind the knee by mortar shrapnel, brought to Lingayen Station Hospital, his leg amputated above the knee.
