Army Intelligence and Infantry, platoon sergeant. Served with the 23rd Infantry Regiment, supervised and directed 23 men; performed intelligence and reconnaissance duties. Responsible for collection evaluation, interpretation and distribution of information on enemy and counter intelligence activities. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, WWII Army of Occupation Medal, WWII with German clasp European-African-Middle Eastern Medal.
