Activity During WWII

84th Infantry Division, U.S. Army, 638th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Served March 23, 1942 to Oct. 16, 1945, as a Tank Destroyer Non-Commissioned Officer. Drove all types of armored tank destroyer vehicles. Drove on paved, unpaved roads and cross country vehicles. Carried five-man crew and ammunition. Made minor repairs. Received award of the Bronze Star Medal Citation for Heroic service in connection with military operations against the army in Germany March 1, 1945.
