The operations he was responsible for received from the United States Maritime Commission, The star awarded, December 15, 1943. Second additional Star, awarded June 22, 1944. Third additional Star awarded March 24, 1945. Was personally awarded Westinghouse's highest honor, the 'Silver W' in March, 1943. He and his co-workers built a new plant, brand new gear cutting machinery, never before designed and produced the first drive gear in just sixteen months.
