Served with the 1463rd Engineer Maintenance Company in the Southwest Pacific as Chief Supply Clerk. Responsible for parts shop and made available parts for Landing Craft Infantry Boats. Insured adequate supply of parts was available at all times. Kept stock cards and reports on stock, incoming and outgoing. Also made monthly reports of parts issued and used. Had thorough knowledge of parts that were used in making Landing Craft Infantry Boats. Had thorough knowledge of the mechanics of the diesel motor.
