Trained in the U.S., sent to England in July 1944. A radio gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress bomber. On a mission to Merseburg, Germany on November 2, 1944, just after the bombs were released when the plane dropped behind it and encountered hostile aircraft. The plane dropped into a dive and disappeared.
